Chris
Gartman is the kind of guy who is dubbed "Mr.
Consistency" by Canadian Biker magazine and describes himself
as a "Workaholic,
fanatic and maybe just a little bit warped
"
Chris Gartman had his first race in 1989 and has been wowing the racing
world ever since. His accomplishments include:
World Record 177.17 mph in Pro Dragster 1998
Holds Five No.1 Plates (Street Class '94, Pro Dragster Champion '97,
'98, 2000 and Pro Fuel Champion 2001)
Panic Racing received the Dennis Mark Memorial Award for outstanding
achievement in 1998 and 2001.
Panic Racing was also awarded the Nitro Cup Award for innovation and
advanced technology 2001.
In 1995 at Mission BC he set an unofficial record of 8.31 seconds,
and then followed that up at Ashcroft in 1997 with the CMDRA record
of 8.22 seconds.
Chris was also the first Canadian Pro Dragster to run a seven-second,
¼ mile.
He is also a Director of the Canadian Motorcycle Drag Racing Association
